Brownie in a Mug

Ingredients
  

  • 4 tablespoons  all-purpose flour
  • 4 tablespoons  sugar
  • 2 tablespoons  unsweetened cocoa
  • 2 tablespoons  vegetable oil or melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons milk dairy or non dairy
  • a pinch of salt

Method
 

  1. add the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt into a mug. Stir until the dry ingredients are evenly combined. 
  2. Add the oil and milk, then mix until smooth.
  3. Place the mug in the microwave and cook on high for about 60–90 seconds. 
  4. Be careful not to overcook — if you go too long, the brownie can turn dry.
  5. You can eat the brownie straight out of the mug

Notes

The beauty of a mug brownie is that you can change it up every time:
  • Peanut Butter Brownie — Swirl a spoonful of peanut butter into the batter before cooking.
  • Mocha Brownie — Add ½ teaspoon instant coffee granules to the batter.
  • Nutella Brownie — Stir in a spoonful of Nutella for extra richness.
  • Mint Brownie — Add a drop or two of peppermint extract.
  • Salted Caramel Brownie — Drizzle with caramel sauce and sprinkle with flaky salt.
