In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and butterscotch chips.
Heat in 30-second bursts, stirring between each, until smooth and melted.
Pour the melted chocolate-butterscotch mixture over the cereal layer, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
Let the bars sit at room temperature until the topping sets, about 1–2 hours.
Once the topping is firm, cut into squares or rectangles. Serve and watch them disappear.
